The Walkthrough: talking Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath before it happens

By Matt Porter

Spinning somewhere near the eye of Hurricane Sandy is a giant monkey wrench, and on Thursday it landed squarely in the plans of South Florida’s high school sports scene.

With all Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast football games cancelled Thursday and Friday, officials were scrambling to reschedule everything. We’re now looking at Monday Night Football in Palm Beach next week, with four ranked teams in action. The biggest of those games is No. 4 Royal Palm Beach at No. 8 Atlantic, a game critical to both teams’ playoff lives.

In this week’s The Walkthrough podcast, @mattyports, @jeffgreer, @DuseReport760 and @AlexP760 break down the Royal Palm-Atlantic matchup and the fallout from having all these huge games on Monday; the problems at Dwyer, the most disappointing teams and the most pleasant surprises of the season. We also talk a little about stadiums.
