Hall of Famer Bob Griese and U.S. Army representatives will recognize Jonassaint at a 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8 ceremony at Okeechobee, presenting the senior with a plaque and honoring him as a finalist for the award, which was created in January and will be given to the winner on Jan. 4, the day before the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Jonassaint, the Army-Pro Football Hall of Fame release said, is being recognized for his athletic achievements in basketball and tennis, his outstanding academic accomplishments as well as his dedication to his community through various community service projects.
