Atlantic DT Keith Bryant invited to U.S. Army All-American Bowl

By Jeff Greer

Keith Bryant’s emergence on the national recruiting scene isn’t without merit. The massive Atlantic defensive tackle has put together one of the best seasons of any Palm Beach County football player.

Keith Bryant (in the black jersey) is one of three All-Americans from Palm Beach County.

While the fast rise up national recruiting rankings, and all the attention from colleges that comes with that jump, is nice, Bryant perhaps made his biggest splash yet on Wednesday, when he officially made public his invitation to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will be played Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

Bryant (6-foot-2, 290 pounds, No. 6 on the PBGametime Big Board) is a late addition to the all-star game’s roster. An All-American Games spokesman said Wednesday that Bryant’s announcement press conference, where the player receives his official game jersey, is yet to be scheduled. American Heritage running back Greg Bryant recently held his. They’re the only two area players slated to participate in the game, which is preceded by a week’s worth of festivities.

Keith Bryant posted a photo of his official invitation packet on Twitter.

“It’s a blessing I got this,” the caption below his photo read. “This is just the beginning.”

Bryant is verbally committed to Miami, and has been seen at recent Hurricanes games, but Florida State is considered to be in a dead heat with the ‘Canes for Bryant’s signature on signing day 2013.
