Former Treasure Coast athlete Travares Copeland leaves West Virginia

West Virginia freshman receiver Travares Copeland, a Treasure Coast High alum, has left the Mountaineers for personal reasons.

West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen announced Copeland’s departure on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. He declined to comment further.

Copeland, a Post All-Area “Best of the Treasure Coast” selection in 2011, started one game for the Mountaineers (5-3, 2-3 Big 12). He had 10 catches for 55 yards in three games.
