Matt Dillon, Rob Freeman to coach in Palm Beach County All-Star Game

By Jeff Greer

Matt Dillon and Rob Freeman didn’t coach against each other in the regular season, but they’ll go head-to-head in January’s Palm Beach County-Treasure Coast All-Star Game.

Dillon, of Pope John Paul II, will coach the National Team, which will feature players from the southern and central parts of Palm Beach County. Palm Beach Gardens’ Freeman will coach the American Team, made up of players from northern Palm Beach County, the Glades and the Treasure Coast.

The game, which used to be called the Outback Bowl, will be played on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. at John I. Leonard High. Rosters for the game will be selected Monday, Nov. 19, by the coaches. Each roster will have 40 players, with five alternates.

Lytal, Reiter, Smith, Ivery and Fonrath, a West Palm Beach law firm, will sponsor the game once again this year.
