Glades Day RB Kelvin Taylor wins Class 2A Player of the Year

Glades Day running back Kelvin Taylor took one more stop toward winning Florida Mr. Football on Monday.

Taylor, a 5-foot-11, 215-pound record-breaking back who’s verbally committed to Florida, won the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 2A Player of the Year award. He’s now a Mr. Football finalist, along with the players of the year from each of the other seven Florida high school football classes. American Heritage running back Greg Bryant finished second in the 3A Player of the Year voting.

Taylor ran for 2,423 yards and 41 touchdowns as a senior, helping Glades Day reach the regional finals. He graduates high school as the state’s career touchdowns leader, with 192.
