Palm Beach Central OL Kc McDermott accepts 2014 Under Armour All-American game invitation

By Jeff Greer

Under Armour wasted no time in chasing one of the biggest names of next year’s recruiting class for its 2014 All-American game, inviting Palm Beach Central’s massive offensive tackle Kc McDermott to follow in his brother Shane’s footsteps and play in the St. Petersburg-based game.

McDermott, a 6–foot-6, 290-pound junior, accepted the invitation, his father Randy confirmed this weekend. He’s the first area player to accept a 2014 All-American game invitation, though several others are considered candidates for selection.

Also a basketball player, McDermott’s recruiting process has slowed down around the holidays and as coaching staff zero in on finalizing their 2013 signing classes. McDermott will visit a University of Miami junior day in January, his father said.
