He’ll have Tennessee, USF and Syracuse hats on the table for signing day and plans to have a final decision by Wednesday.

Here’s the full story.
— NC State, no longer in the picture for Brown, started to talk to Atlantic DE Todney Evans. Evans will visit Florida Atlantic this weekend with four-star Atlantic DT Keith Bryant and American Heritage K Greg Joseph. Or is he? “We’ll find out soon enough,” a source said. “He says all the right things.”

— Ohio State is not considered a top-five contender for Palm Beach Central 2014 OT Kc McDermott, a source said Wednesday. OSU head coach Urban Meyer came by Central to chat with McDermott (6-6, 290) and asked if he was even considering the Buckeyes. McDermott said no. Miami, Florida and Notre Dame are definitely in McDermott’s top five, the source added, but the other two spots are harder to decipher. McDermott’s dad, Randy, has pointed out on several occasions the family’s connections to Alabama and Michigan, though Michigan State and North Carolina have heavily pursued McDermott as well.
