Ex-Forest Hill WR and FAU signee Mikey Bullard enrolls at Arizona Western

By Jeff Greer

Former Forest Hill wide receiver Mike Bullard has a new temporary home.

Bullard, a 5-foot-9, 160-pound Class of 2012 graduate, enrolled at Arizona Western, a junior college in Yuma, Ariz., after failing to qualify for the 2013 spring semester at FAU. He originally signed with FAU in the spring of 2012 with the intention of enrolling at the Boca university this month. Sources at FAU said they helped Bullard find a junior college.

“I sent out film and within 24 hours was bombarded with (junior college) offers,” said former Forest Hill coach Chris Kokell.

Bullard caught 80 passes for 597 yards and seven touchdowns during his senior season at Forest Hill in 2011. He’ll join Royal Palm Beach alum Tremaine McCullough at Western for the 2013 season. Former Pahokee basketball star Nate Willis played football at Arizona Western and recently committed to Kentucky.
