Santaluces TE Ricco Jean Louis commits to Colorado State-Pueblo

By Matt Porter

You might not know it, but there’s a pipeline flowing from Lantana to Pueblo, Colo.

It’s true. Or at least you’d think it was, given all the Santaluces products that wind up at Colorado State-Pueblo.

Senior tight end Ricco Jean Louis is the latest to commit to the Thunderwolves, which last year had six ex-Chiefs on their roster. Jean Louis, the cousin of former Palm Beach Central and current Marshall receiver Angelo Jean Louis, made the decision on Friday.

Last season, CSU-Pueblo had senior cornerback Franex Dort, junior defensive back Mannie Rathell, sophomore safety Jarrod Lacy and cornerback C.J. Roberts, redshirt freshman defensive end/linebacker Ben Estica and freshman athlete Fradlet Dort, who redshirted.

Jean Louis (6-3, 190) broke out last September, with four catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns in Santaluces’ upset in over Atlantic. He had an offer from Colorado Mesa and interest from Bethune-Cookman.
