Baseball: Jupiter moves up to No. 14 in national rankings

By Matt Porter

Jupiter’s first loss of the season didn’t prevent it from jumping two spots in MaxPreps’ national top 25.

The Warriors (15-1) are No. 14 in the country despite a spring break loss to Miami-Columbus. They won three other games, including a 4-1 win over Fort Lauderdale-Archbishop McCarthy, which spent the early part of the season in MaxPreps’ rankings.

Jupiter is the fourth-ranked team in the state, behind Tampa-Jesuit (No. 1 overall), Pensacola Catholic (No. 2) and Venice (No. 6).

Sitaras commits: Jupiter senior center fielder Peter Sitaras committed to St. Joseph’s, a Division I (Atlantic 10) school in Philadelphia.
