2014 Park Vista safety Marques Gayot commits to Louisville

By Jeff Greer

One of the top prospects in Palm Beach County’s Class of 2014, Marques Gayot has attracted a lot of attention since the fall.

On Tuesday, the hard-hitting safety verbally committed to Louisville, which was one of the top programs chasing the 6-foot-2, 210-pound junior. Gayot chose the Cardinals over Cal, USF, FAU, Bowling Green and several other programs.

Gayot runs a 4.6 40-yard dash, and had two interceptions for Park Vista this past season. He’s got 13 interceptions over his career at Vista. He’s the second big-name Palm Beach County junior to verbally commit to a school this spring. Palm Beach Central tackle Kc McDermott pledged to Miami last month.
