Pope John Paul II’s Christine Sullivan named FHSAA academic all-state

Christine Sullivan of Pope John Paul II on Wednesday was named to the FHSAA’s academic all-state team.

Sullivan is one of 24 students to be celebrated at the FHSAA Academic All-State Awards at 7 p.m. Monday, June 10 in Gainesville. Each student receives a $1,000 scholarship. The FHSAA will also name a male and female scholar-athlete of the year.

Sullivan, a four-year letter-winner in cross-country and track, has a 4.0 grade point average and ranks second in a senior class of 112 students. She participated in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Club, Doctors of Tomorrow, and French Club. She also volunteered at the Boca Raton Art Museum, First United Methodist Church, St. Joan of Arc Church, and Nail Depot Breast Cancer Fundraiser. She plans to study chemistry at Johns Hopkins.
