A former Glades Central High School and University of Florida football player has been arrested after authorities allegedly found crack cocaine and marijuana in his possession during a traffic stop this week.

Teddy R. Sims, 35, of suburban West Palm Beach, was stopped shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday after he failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection of Seminole Boulevard and Oswego Avenue, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sims drove to a residence located near an elementary school on Oswego before he pulled over, deputies said. He immediately got out of the car.

A deputy smelled the odor of marijuana inside the car, the arrest report said. The deputy identified Sims from a previous encounter and handcuffed him.
