Volleyball: Summit Christian’s Kaylee Anderson to play sand at Stetson

By Jeff Greer

Kaylee Anderson made her name locally with her hard-court volleyball performances.

She’ll hope to have the same kind of impact at Stetson University, but this time she’ll be playing on sand. Stetson announced the inclusion of Anderson, a former Summit Christian standout, in its signing class.

“Kaylee is not satisfied with being one of the top youth beach volleyball players in Florida,” Stetson sand volleyball coach Tim Loesch said in a statement. “Over the past year she has played against tougher competition and worked hard to improve her skills and athleticism. She is going to be fun to coach, and a great partner for someone on our team.”

Anderson was a two-time Post All-Area selection. She placed first at the Florida Beach Volleyball Tour event in Fort Myers and at the Florida HP Queen of the Beach tournament in Deerfield Beach.
