Kc McDermott, Travis Rudolph to receive all-star jerseys this week

By Jeff Greer

Under Armour will unveil its all-star jerseys for Palm Beach Central senior tackle Kc McDermott on Wednesday and for Newman’s Travis Rudolph on Friday.

McDermott, who’s verbally committed to Miami, will accept the jersey for the 2014 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game at a ceremony in Central’s media center.

McDermott (6-6, 300) plans to graduate high school at the end of December and enroll at Miami after Christmas break. He’ll play in the Jan. 2 all-star showcase first.

Cardinal Newman receiver Travis Rudolph also accepted an invitation to Under Armour’s game, which is played in St. Petersburg and carried by ESPN. He will receive his jersey at a late-morning pep rally at Newman.

Dwyer receiver Johnnie Dixon will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game.
