Volleyball: New Top 10 entering Week 6

By Anthony Chiang

Things are starting to pick up, as we enter the final month of the regular season. There wasn’t much movement within the rankings, as the top three stayed the same. However, an undefeated Benjamin team did move up to the No. 4 spot.

Here’s the full version of the Post’s Top 10 entering Week 6:

1. Wellington (14-0): The Wolverines played just one match last week, earning a three-set victory over Palm Beach Central. Wellington has now won 13 consecutive sets.

2. Jupiter (11-2): The Warriors keep on rolling, as their two losses have come against quality teams in No. 1 Wellington and Fort Lauderdale-Cardinal Gibbons.

3. Boca Raton (10-4): The Bobcats bounced back from a tough week with two wins.

4. Benjamin (9-0): Although Benjamin dropped its first set since Aug. 27 last week, the Buccaneers still won both of its matches to stay undefeated.

5. Royal Palm Beach (10-2): The Wildcats have won four of their last five matches.

6. Park Vista (9-4): It was a 1-1 week for the Cobras, but the loss came against No. 3 Boca.

7. Seminole Ridge (8-1): The Hawks’ only loss of the season came against top-ranked Wellington.

8. Lake Worth Christian (7-3): The Defenders won both of their matches last week, including a five-set thriller against Trinity Christian.

9. Dwyer (8-6): The Panthers own a perfect 5-0 district record.

10. King’s Academy (7-4): The Lions lost a five-set match to Palm Beach Gardens last week.

The best of the Treasure Coast:

1. Jensen Beach (11-3): After losing to Cardinal Gibbons earlier in the season, the Falcons redeemed themselves by beating the Chiefs last week.

2. Martin County (10-5): Following three straight losses, the Tigers have picked themselves up to win two in a row.
