Johnnie Dixon to receive all-star jersey on Oct. 22

By Anthony Chiang

Under Armour stopped by Palm Beach County last week as part of their selection tour. And later this month, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour will roll into town to present Dwyer wide receiver Johnnie Dixon with his all-star jersey.

Dixon’s ceremony will be held on Oct. 22 at 11:15 a.m. in Dwyer’s media center. The 6-foot, 190-pound senior will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Game, unlike Cardinal Newman’s Travis Rudolph and Palm Beach Central’s Kc McDermott, who will play in the 2014 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game.

The 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl is scheduled to be played on Jan. 4 in the Alamodome, and it will be carried by NBC.

Dixon is one of the top uncommitted prospects in the county. He is scheduled to see top-ranked Alabama in November when the Tide plays LSU, and has already visited Arkansas and North Carolina State. Dixon hasn’t announced when he will make his final choice, but he does plan to enroll in college after the fall semester.
