Football: Dwyer, Fort Pierce Central, Clewiston still in AP rankings

By Anthony Chiang

The number of teams from the area in the Associated Press state football rankings is dwindling.

Glades Day and Park Vista dropped out of this week’s Associated Press state football rankings after losing last week. The Gators fell to Hollywood-Chaminade and the Cobras lost to Palm Beach Central.

However, Dwyer is still No. 1 in the Class 7A poll. The Panthers received 12 first-place votes after securing their first 10-0 regular-season record in school history. Fort Pierce Central held steady at No. 5 in Class 8A and Clewiston stayed at No. 5 in the Class 4A poll.
