For the second time this season, Palm Beach Lakes senior Stephen Louis has earned “The Best Performance of the Week” award. Louis led the Rams to a victory over Boca Raton on Friday to close out the regular season. He did it all Friday, running and passing for touchdowns.
Stephen Louis, Palm Beach Lakes, WR:
The performance: The senior ran for a school-record 244 yards and three touchdowns to carry Palm Beach Lakes to a win Friday. Louis scored on runs of 4, 30 and 32 yards. In the process, he even threw for a score, when he connected with Markivious Brown for a 37-yard touchdown pass.
In the coach’s words: “Stephen was just phenomenal tonight,” Rams coach Willie Snead said. “He executed real well, hit his holes and played a very tough game. The young man has a bright future in front of him. He is definitely Division I material. … The kid can do it all. We changed the offense two weeks ago (when Snead’s son, Isaiah, was sidelined with an MCL injury) and we knew we needed Stephen to play a multitude of positions. He can play quarterback, receiver and running back in this offense. We are definitely going to miss him next year.”
