Palm Beach Central offensive lineman Kc McDermott was named to the squad’s honorable mention offense. The 6-foot-6 290-pound tackle, who is rated as the No. 1 prospect on the PBGametime recruiting Big Board, is already enrolled at Miami.

The team was selected by Parade contributor Brian McLaughlin, who covers college football recruiting for the college football site Saturday Down South.

McDermott, who is the brother of UM junior center Shane McDermott, played a big role in the potent rushing attack that led Palm Beach Central to its second consecutive district title this season.

Last year, Atlantic defensive lineman Keith Bryant and Glades Day running back Kelvin Taylor represented the county, receiving honorable mention honors on the 2013 Parade All-America Team.
