Area soccer players set to sign Wednesday

A handful of girls soccer players representing area schools have verbally committed to colleges and plan to sign letters of intent on National Signing Day Wednesday, according to their club coaches.

Players representing FC Florida and AC Delray who have committed to colleges include Nikki Schultz of Jupiter High (Palm Beach Atlantic), Alex Price of American Heritage (Alabama), Taylor Pak of American Heritage (Georgetown), Hannah Coy of American Heritage (Yale), Lexy Gonzalez of Cardinal Newman (Palm Beach Atlantic) and Amanda Torres (Lynn).

American Heritage will play Jacksonville-Bolles Wednesday in the Class 2A state semifinals in Melbourne.
