Boys Soccer: Boca Raton earns national ranking

Boca Raton is heading to Melbourne to play in the Class 5A state semifinals as a nationally ranked team.

After capturing their third consecutive regional title, the Bobcats jumped into the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America winter boys’ poll. Boca Raton (23-1-2) is ranked No. 8 in the poll.

The Bobcats will face Tarpon Springs-East Lake in Friday’s Class 5A state semifinals at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne. Senior Tomer Bitton leads Boca Raton with 27 goals this season.
