Baseball: Dwyer LHP Thomas Szapucki ranked among best in Class of 2015

By Anthony Chiang

For the last two years, Dwyer pitcher Thomas Szapucki has been considered as one of the top prospects in the Class of 2015.

Nothing has changed, as Szapucki is listed as the 11th best player in MaxPreps’ latest rankings of the Top 50 players in the Class of 2015. He is the top rated left-handed pitcher on the list.

The junior, who is committed to Florida, has been his usual self this season, sporting a 0.70 ERA and striking out 29 in 20 innings pitched.

At 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, Szapucki effortlessly works in the high 80s to low 90s (reaching as high as 94) with a strong curveball.
