Flag football: District tournaments begin Monday

District competition begins next week for area flag football teams.

Four schools will host district tournaments involving Palm Beach County teams, with competition scheduled to start Monday.

Winners move on to state tournament first-round play-in games May 3. The FHSAA Finals will be held May 9-10 at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee.

District tournament hosts are: Oxbridge Academy (District 22), Pahokee (District 23), Forest Hill (District 24) and Boca Raton (District 25).

Here is the schedule:

District 22

All games at Oxbridge Academy

Monday: (2) Jupiter vs. (3) Palm Beach Gardens, 6 p.m.; (1) Dwyer vs. (4) Suncoast, 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Championship game, 7:30 p.m.

District 23

All games at Pahokee

Monday: (2) Pahokee vs. (3) Wellington, 6 p.m.; (1) Seminole Ridge vs. (4) Glades Central, 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Championship game, 7 p.m.

District 24

All games at Forest Hill

Monday: (2) Boynton Beach vs. (3) John I. Leonard, 6 p.m.; (1)  Lake Worth vs. (4) Park Vista, 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Championship game, 6 p.m.

District 25

All games at Boca Raton

Monday: (1) Atlantic vs. (4) Olympic Heights, 6 p.m.; (2) Boca Raton vs. (3) West Boca Raton, 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Championship game, 7 p.m.

Jensen Beach will host the District 21 flag football tournament.

Monday:

(1) Martin County vs. (4) Okeechobee, 5:30 p.m.; (2) Treasure Coast vs. (3) Jensen Beach, 7 p.m.

Tuesday: Championship game, 7 p.m.
