Flag football: Seminole Ridge keeps top state ranking

Seminole Ridge maintained its No. 1 state ranking going into this week’s district tournament competition.

The Hawks (11-0) have a 2.6-point lead over Tampa-Robinson (12-0) in the Florida Flag Football Power 25 rankings released Monday. St. Cloud-Harmony (11-0) is third, followed by Coconut Creek (11-0) and Apopka (10-2).

Among local teams, Dwyer (10-1) moved up to seventh in the poll, while Jupiter (6-2) is 12th and Martin County (9-2) is 25th.

District tournaments begin today and conclude Wednesday. District champions advance to first-round state tournament play-in games, which will be held May 3.
