Boys basketball: Wellington’s Clandell Cetoute signs with Thiel College

By Jodie Wagner

Wellington forward Clandell Cetoute has signed to play basketball at Thiel College in Greenville, Penn., Wolverines coach Matt Colin announced Monday.

The 6-foot-7 senior led the county in blocked shots last season with 3.3 per game and also was named to the All-Conference Second Team. He recorded a triple double in the Palm Beach We Got Game All-Star basketball game, at which he was named Most Valuable Player.

“Clandell is an exciting, talented player,” Colin said of Cetoute, who broke his leg as a sophomore and sat out his junior season. “He is only scratching the surface of his ability. At his size and with his shot-blocking ability, he also is able to step out and shoot the ball, which is going to stretch a lot of defenses. He’s going to be a good player for Thiel.”

Thiel College competes in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.
