Flag football: Seminole Ridge finishes No. 2 in final state poll; Dwyer, Jupiter, Atlantic Nos. 7,8,9

Seminole Ridge finished No. 2 in the final Florida Flag Football Power 25 state poll released Sunday.

The Hawks, ranked No. 1 from the season’s opening week, dropped to No. 2 behind Tampa-Robinson following the Knights’ 7-6 victory Saturday in the state championship game.

The loss snapped Seminole Ridge’s 45-game winning streak. The Hawks (17-1) were seeking an unprecedented third consecutive state flag football title and their fourth state crown in five years.

Robinson finished 19-0. Tampa-Alonso (14-3) placed third, followed by Tallahassee-Godby (12-6) and St. Cloud-Harmony (15-1).

Among local teams, Dwyer (13-2) finished No. 7, Jupiter (10-3) was No. 8 and Atlantic (14-4) was No. 9.
