Kalman’s final day will be June 5, which is the last day of school. He plans to move to New Jersey, where his wife, Angie, now works. The couple has two young children.

Kalman’s replacement will be Nick Siano, who is West Boca’s assistant athletic director and head baseball coach.

Siano has worked with Kalman for the past year in the school’s athletic department and said he expects a seamless transition in the fall. For the time being, he’ll remain the Bulls’ baseball coach.

“I’m excited and honored to be the athletic director at West Boca High School,” Siano said. “I hope to continue the legacy that we’ve had here.”

Kalman said he will miss the students and faculty at West Boca, but looks forward to new opportunities in New Jersey. He plans to interview for a position as a high school teacher and football coach there.

“There are great people at West Boca,” Kalman said. “I really enjoyed the experience. It was challenging, but definitely worth it.”
