On Andrew Prince’s unofficial visit to Fordham last week, coaches told the Palm Beach Gardens wide receiver he would be a perfect fit in the team’s spread offense.

Prince agreed, verbally committing to Fordham on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect picked the Rams over Florida Tech and Air Force.

“They just said I would fit perfectly in their offense and I really liked it up there,” said Prince, who was recruited by Fordham offensive line coach Joel Rodriguez. “It’s like home.”

One of the main reasons for Prince’s decision involved his friend Kevin Anderson, who graduated from Boca Raton in 2013. Anderson, a quarterback, is transferring from Marshall to Fordham this year.

Prince, who will be a senior this fall, caught five touchdowns as a junior last season.

Verbal commitments are non-binding until players can sign official letters of intent on national signing day, Feb. 4, 2015. But Prince feels confident in his decision.

“I feel strong about the commitment,” Prince said. “They were pretty loyal to me, so I’m going to be pretty loyal to them.”
