Although Tevon Coney narrowed his list to 10 schools in June, two programs stand alone in his eyes.
“I’m still pretty open to all of the schools in my top 10, but I like Florida and Notre Dame the most,” Coney said.
The four-star Palm Beach Gardens linebacker was blown away on his unofficial visit to Notre Dame on June 19. The Fighting Irish were not among Coney’s favorites before the trip, but that quickly changed.

According to NationalHSFootball.com analyst Dallas Jackson, the defending Class 7A state champions’ preseason kickoff classic against Plantation American Heritage will be aired on ESPN on Aug. 24 at 3 p.m. A source confirmed the news.
The game with be played at American Heritage.

The last time John I. Leonard’s baseball team won a district title, Doug Magaw was its head coach.
The year was 2006.
Leonard is hoping Magaw can have similar success the second time around, as the Lancers announced Monday they will bring him back to lead their baseball program. Magaw will replace Roger Vasquez, who spent four seasons as Leonard’s head baseball coach.
“Doug is an excellent teacher of the game of baseball,” Lancers athletic director Scott Siegel said. “Getting somebody of his reputation and credibility, it’s just a big plus to have him come back to John I. Leonard.”

On Andrew Prince’s unofficial visit to Fordham last week, coaches told the Palm Beach Gardens wide receiver he would be a perfect fit in the team’s spread offense.
Prince agreed, verbally committing to Fordham on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect picked the Rams over Florida Tech and Air Force.
“They just said I would fit perfectly in their offense and I really liked it up there,” said Prince, who was recruited by Fordham offensive line coach Joel Rodriguez. “It’s like home.”

Jean Constant was so impressed with his unofficial visit to Bryant University on June 14, he wanted to make sure he left the campus a Bulldog.
The 5-foot-9 Village Academy wide receiver did just that, verbally committing to Bryant on his trip to the school. Constant, who will be a senior this fall, chose the Rhode Island-based Football Championship Series program in the Northeast Conference over Northern Illinois.

Just two months ago, Jake Bargas was leaning toward committing to Duke. Since then, things have changed.
The 2015 St. Andrew’s tight end verbally committed to Wake Forest, announcing his decision through Twitter on Saturday night. Bargas chose the Demon Deacons over a multitude of schools, including Duke, Boston College and Florida Atlantic. [More]
