2015 PBgametime Baseball: Inside the final Top 10

How good is Palm Beach County’s high school baseball?

Two teams from the county are part of the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings released on Tuesday.

Park Vista stayed at No. 2 in the rankings for the second consecutive week. The Cobras have won 22 straight and will enter next week’s District 10-8A tournament as the top seed. [More]

A pair of Palm Beach County baseball players are among the top sophomores in the country.

Dwyer pitcher Tyler Ahearn is listed as the 33rd best player on MaxPreps’ list of the country’s top 50 baseball sophomores for 2015. Trinity Christian pitcher Brandon McCabe comes in at No. 34 on the list. [More]

Palm Beach County is well represented in the seventh edition of the Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Wednesday.

Park Vista and Boca Raton held on to their spots in the All-Classifications poll and Class 8A poll. The only team in the state ranked ahead of No. 2 Park Vista and No. 3 Boca Raton in both polls is undefeated Orlando-Olympia. [More]

Palm Beach Gardens grad JJ Schwarz makes history with Florida Gators

It’s safe to say that JJ Schwarz is having a pretty good freshman season with the Florida Gators.

The Palm Beach Gardens grad became the first Gator in school history with four home runs in a game in a 22-2 victory over Stetson on Tuesday. Schwarz finished the contest with five hits in six at-bats and a career-high 10 RBIs. [More]

Park Vista continues to creep up toward the top spot.

The Cobras jumped from No. 3 to No. 2 in the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings released on Tuesday. Since falling to Coral Springs-Taravella in the season opener, Park Vista has won 20 straight, including a win over a strong American Heritage team on Monday. [More]

Olympic Heights to host baseball, softball fundraiser Wednesday
