Royal Palm Beach boys basketball coach Rob Long retires after 21 seasons

Following a long and successful career, Rob Long is stepping away from coaching.

After spending the past three seasons as Royal Palm Beach’s boys basketball head coach, Long has decided to retire, according to Wildcats athletic director Eric Patterson. Long’s longtime assistant coach Scott Dobbs will replace him as the Wildcats’ coach. [More]

The high school basketball season is over, but you still have a chance to see some of Palm Beach County’s best players take the court this weekend.

The Rising Stars Palm Beach County All-Star Basketball game is scheduled for Saturday, with the girls game starting at 6 p.m. and the boys game starting at 8 p.m. at John I. Leonard High. Admission is $5 for children and $10 for adults. [More]
