Boca Raton tops the Post Top 10 for the second straight week, but the rest of the top 10 saw plenty of movement
The Bobcats keep the No. 1 spot after defeating then-No. 2 Lake Worth 69-34 on Thursday. As a result, the Trojans drop from No. 2 to No. 3, and surging Cardinal Newman takes their spot. The first Post girls basketball top 10 opens up with two teams set to duke it out on Thursday.
Boca Raton and Lake Worth meet up in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown on Thursday night in Boca with the top spot in the rankings at stake. The Florida Association of Basketball Coaches and Source Hoops released their first statewide girls basketball rankings Monday night, and eight Palm Beach County schools found their way into their classes’ top 10.
Boca Raton was the highest ranked area school, coming in second in Class 8A. Cardinal Newman was the highest of three Palm Beach County schools in Class 4A, with St. Andrew’s ranked sixth and Oxbridge Academy seventh. Berean Christian ranked sixth in Class 3A, while Grandview Prep and Lake Worth Christian ranked fourth and ninth in Class 2A, respectively. In 1A, Pahokee ranked fifth.

Oxbridge Academy announced Tracy Wolfe as the new head girls basketball coach Tuesday afternoon.
“Oxbridge Academy is thrilled to have Tracy as our new head girls basketball coach,” athletic director Craig Sponsky said in a release. “She has a proven approach to teaching the game and creating opportunities for team success. We are confident that she will continue to build the program from its strong foundation.”
