Florida Atlantic already received a verbal commitment from one of Palm Beach County’s top 2015 prospects in May. This week, the Owls received three more.
Seminole Ridge defensive back Jalen Young verbally committed to FAU, choosing the Owls over schools like Miami, Boston College and Louisville on Thursday night. Palm Beach Gardens athlete J’Quan Napier followed Young’s lead and verbally committed to FAU on Friday morning.
Young and Napier join Seminole Ridge running back Kerrith Whyte, who verbally committed to the Owls on Monday.
The trio is now part of FAU’s 2015 recruiting class, along with three-star Dwyer quarterback Daniel Parr. Parr [More]

Just nine days before Kevin Bronson planned to report to Virginia Tech, he was forced to change his plans.
Hokies coaches informed the former Village Academy defensive end that he did not qualify due to his test scores this past Friday. Although Bronson knew his test scores were not up to the university’s standards, he was made to believe it wouldn’t be an issue.
“Virginia Tech did make it known that there was a possibility head coach Frank Beamer would have to go in front of a committee to speak on behalf of Kevin,” Village Academy coach Don Hanna said. “But not [More]

Although Tevon Coney narrowed his list to 10 schools in June, two programs stand alone in his eyes.
“I’m still pretty open to all of the schools in my top 10, but I like Florida and Notre Dame the most,” Coney said.
The four-star Palm Beach Gardens linebacker was blown away on his unofficial visit to Notre Dame on June 19. The Fighting Irish were not among Coney’s favorites before the trip, but that quickly changed.

On Andrew Prince’s unofficial visit to Fordham last week, coaches told the Palm Beach Gardens wide receiver he would be a perfect fit in the team’s spread offense.
Prince agreed, verbally committing to Fordham on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect picked the Rams over Florida Tech and Air Force.
“They just said I would fit perfectly in their offense and I really liked it up there,” said Prince, who was recruited by Fordham offensive line coach Joel Rodriguez. “It’s like home.”
One of the main reasons for Prince’s decision involved his friend Kevin Anderson, who graduated from Boca Raton in 2013. Anderson, a [More]

Recruiting never sleeps.
In order to keep pace, the PBgametime team has created the Class of 2015 Recruiting Diary. It seemed to work with last year’s Class of 2014 Recruiting Diary, so we decided to bring it back.
On this post, we will follow this year’s seniors through the fall and winter months. Every little piece of info we hear will be recorded on this diary. [More]
