The playoff picture grew a little clearer following last week’s action, but plenty of post-season spots remain on the line heading into critical Week 10.

Boynton Beach clinched a playoff spot last week with its wild 63-58 win against Coconut Creek, and will play for the district title on Friday against unbeaten Hallandale. Numerous other playoff spots are on the line, among them two in District 13-7A, where there is a three-way tie at the top among Dwyer, Atlantic and Royal Palm Beach. Boynton, American Heritage move up in Florida’s HS Football poll

Boynton Beach jumped two spots to No. 18 and American Heritage moved up two spots to No. 23 in Florida’s High School Football Top 25 poll, which was released Tuesday.

The Tigers (8-0) defeated Suncoast 42-0 on Friday, while the Stallions (5-1) were idle.

Boynton and Heritage are the only Palm Beach County teams ranked in the poll.

Dwyer (7A) and Clewiston (4A) received votes.
