Last week, Boca Raton made its first appearance in the state poll that considers teams from all classifications. This week, the Bobcats moved up five spots on that list.
In the sixth edition of the Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday, Boca jumped to No. 3 in the All-Classifications poll. Park Vista is the only Palm Beach County team ahead of the Bobcats, as the Cobras stayed at No. 2. [More]

Not all losses are bad losses.
Boca Raton has learned that, as the Bobcats made their first appearance in the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings on Tuesday. Despite falling to nationally ranked Park Vista for the second time this season last week, Boca cracked the list at No. 13.
The Bobcats join Park Vista in the rankings with the Cobras staying at No. 3. Both teams are part of District 10-8A, which should make for an interesting district tournament. [More]

Park Vista is living up to expectations.
The Cobras entered the season with high expectations and they have met them so far. Park Vista hasn’t dropped a game since falling to Coral-Springs-Taravella in the season opener. Since then, the Cobras have outscored opponents by a combined score of 103-22 to stay at No. 1.

Boca Raton continues its rise.
In the fifth edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday, the Bobcats jumped up one spot to No. 3 in the Class 8A poll and made their debut in the state poll that considers teams from all classifications at No. 8. Boca (14-1) has been dominant this season, as its only loss came against nationally ranked Park Vista. [More]

Michael Amditis stellar junior season isn’t just capturing Palm Beach County’s attention. Apparenty, MaxPreps has its eyes on him, too.
The Boca Raton catcher is listed as the 43rd best player on MaxPreps’ list of the nation’s Top 50 junior baseball players. Amditis, who is committed to Miami, is batting .590 with six home runs and 25 RBIs this season. [More]

Spring break is behind us and the playoff push is on.
Park Vista is still at the top of the rankings, as the Cobras are rolling as expected. But American Heritage and Boca Raton will have a chance to change that, as they will each face Park Vista before the end of the regular season.

A pair of small schools from Palm Beach County cracked the fourth edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday.
Trinity Christian made the Class 3A poll, coming in at No. 10 after winning two games last week to improve to 9-3. In Class 2A, Glades Day made its first appearance in the poll at No. 8. [More]

Spring break is here, which means the second half of the season is very near.
It also means a lot of area teams are heading to different parts of the state to take part in various spring break tournaments. It’s always a good week for high school baseball before the playoff race really heats up. [More]

In Palm Beach County high school baseball, Class 8A is king.
If you needed evidence of that, just take a look at the third edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday. Three county teams are ranked in the Class 8A poll — Park Vista (No. 2), Seminole Ridge (No. 4) and Boca Raton (No. 8). Palm Beach Gardens did not make the list, but the Gators did receive an honorable mention.
Along with being ranked in the Class 8A poll, Park Vista is also No. 2 in the state poll that considers teams from all classifications. [More]

The playoff race is starting to heat up as the second half of the season is near.
Park Vista, Seminole Ridge, Benjamin and Palm Beach Gardens keep rolling, as they all kept their spots in the Post’s Top 10. The four have combined to record a 33-5 record this year.
