For the third consecutive week, American Heritage moved up in the Associated Press state football rankings. [More]

Boynton Beach jumped two spots to No. 18 and American Heritage moved up two spots to No. 23 in Florida’s High School Football Top 25 poll, which was released Tuesday.
The Tigers (8-0) defeated Suncoast 42-0 on Friday, while the Stallions (5-1) were idle.
Boynton and Heritage are the only Palm Beach County teams ranked in the poll.
Dwyer (7A) and Clewiston (4A) received votes.
Below is Florida’s High School Football Top 25 poll, with first-place votes in parentheses, records, rating points and previous rankings. Local schools are highlighted in bold.

Some teams have already clinched playoff spots, but others are still looking to punch their tickets to the postseason.
Six teams from Palm Beach County clinched playoff spots this past week. Wellington is back in the playoffs after beating Seminole Ridge, and Cardinal Newman upset Pahokee to clinch their spot.
