It’s going to be a busy Wednesday.

With numerous local high school football stars deciding their futures on signing day, it’s an important day for players and college teams around the county.

Signing day is just days away (Feb. 4), but there are still plenty of questions left to be answered.

Recruiting: 2015 Dwyer DE Alex Davis flips commitment, chooses Nebraska

It happened fast.

Similar to Alex Davis’ rise in the high school football world, it didn’t take much time for the 2015 Dwyer defensive end to learn Nebraska was the place for him. Nebraska extended an offer to Davis on Monday, and he verbally committed to the Cornhuskers during an official visit to the school on Sunday. [More]

2017 QB Toddy Centeio transfers to Dwyer

Dwyer has found its replacement for Daniel Parr.

Sophomore quarterback Toddy Centeio confirmed to the Palm Beach Post on Wednesday that he has transferred from Royal Palm Beach to Dwyer. Centeio’s first day at Dwyer was on Wednesday.

“I needed a change,” Centeio said in a text message. [More]

Football recruiting: The fourth edition of the 2015 Big Board rankings

National Signing Day has come and gone, and we’ve updated the PBgametime Class of 2015 Big Board.

The list has been expanded from 50 to 60, as names such as Royal Palm Beach offensive tackle Fredrick Johnson and American Heritage athlete Warren Robinson were added.

The rankings, compiled by staff writers Anthony Chiang and Jodie Wagner, are determined using interviews with coaches, scouting services’ reports and notes collected from the football season. [More]

Recruiting: 2016 Dwyer WR Isaiah Johnson commits to Louisville

Isaiah Johnson didn’t waste any time.

Less than a week after the junior Dwyer wide receiver/tight end received a scholarship offer from Louisville, he verbally committed to the Cardinals on Monday. Johnson chose Louisville over schools like South Florida, Temple and Illinois. [More]

Recruiting: Dwyer QB Daniel Parr signs financial-aid agreement with FAU

The chances of Daniel Parr ending up at Florida Atlantic just got better.

The three-star Dwyer quarterback signed a financial-aid agreement with the Owls this week, which is a strong indication that Parr will enroll at FAU in January. Parr originally committed to the Owls in May. [More]
