Glades Central left without spring football game

Glades Central won’t be playing a spring football game.

Errick Lowe to replace Andy Siegal as Boynton Beach head football coach

Andy Siegal’s tenure as head football coach at Boynton Beach High did not last long.

After accepting the job to replace longtime Tigers coach Rick Swain in December, Siegal has stepped down due to “personal things and family issues,” according to Boynton Beach athletic director Evan Caruso.

“I resigned due to family issues that I don’t want to get into,” Siegal said. “Nobody told me to resign and nobody forced me to resign.”

Boynton Beach did not wait long to replace Siegal, as they named Errick Lowe as the new head football coach Tuesday. Before accepting a job on Siegal’s staff as the Tigers wide receivers coach in January, Lowe spent nine seasons as Lake Worth’s head coach from 2004-12 and the past two seasons as the wide receivers coach at Park Vista.
