Palm Beach Post 2015 All-Academic teams

American Heritage — Nick Rubinowicz. An All-Area First Team punter/kicker for the Stallions’ football team, he also maintained a 4.81 honors-point average and earned an AP Scholar with Honor award. He will play football at the University of Maryland.

Benjamin — Savannah Logan. A multi-sport athlete who set a school record by earning 19 varsity letters, she also was a member of the National Honor Society and Cum Laude Society, maintained a 4.09 honors-point average, and took nine advanced placement courses. She will play volleyball at Rider University.

Glades Central’s Ray McDonald released by Bears after another domestic violence arrest

Veteran NFLer and Pahokee native Ray McDonald was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence and child endangerment charges, Santa Clara police told NBC Bay Area on Monday. Two San Jose (Calif.) police sources confirmed the arrest, telling CSN Bay Area that they helped the Santa Clara police make the arrest.

Per the NBC station, Santa Clara Lt. Kurt Clarke said in a news release that McDonald was arrested after officers said he “physically assaulted the victim while she was holding a baby.”
