Palm Beach Lakes’ girls basketball team is still enjoying the benefits of winning the Class 7A state championship.

The Rams defeated Apopka-Wekiva 58-40 on Feb. 21 to claim their first state title in program history. On Tuesday morning, Lakes received its championship rings during a ceremony held on campus. [More]

Palm Beach Lakes provided the perfect ending to a historic girls basketball season in Palm Beach County.

The Rams defeated Apopka-Wekiva in the Class 7A final to win their first girls basketball state title in school history. It wasn’t even that close, as Lakes never trailed in the second half and led by as much as 21 in the fourth quarter.

It’s been a good year for high school girls basketball in Palm Beach County.
