Brett Thiesen was content to go to Kentucky even before the Wildcats offered him a spot on the football team. Thiesen, a senior who played wide receiver for Jensen Beach last season, said he applied to LSU and Kentucky for academics, the chance to experience something new and, “I wanted to watch big football games.”
He might end up playing in them.

Another outstanding game from Jensen Beach and just like that, the Falcons are state champs. Jensen Beach won the third game 25-11 to complete the sweep.
And a big congratulations goes to Martin County, which earned two volleyball state titles this season. Martin County HS won the 5A state title on Thursday and now Jensen Beach has the 4A. Pretty impressive considering there aren’t many schools up there.
Hillsborough County (Tampa) has one so far after Berkeley Prep won the 3A title and it will likely have another with Plant in 6A.
