With the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft in the past, it’s time for prospects to make a big decision that will change their futures.

Park Vista pitcher Austin Smith and Dwyer pitcher Tom Szapucki have already made their choices, opting to play professional baseball over playing on the college level. [More]

After 40 rounds of selections over three days, nine high school players from Palm Beach County were picked in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.

2015 MLB Draft: Six more Palm Beach County high school players drafted on Day 3

The 2015 Major League Baseball Draft finally came to a close Wednesday.

After 1,215 total picks over 40 rounds and three days, nine high school players from Palm Beach County were drafted. Six of the players were selected Wednesday.

Over the first two days, three Palm Beach County high school players had been drafted headlined by Royal Palm Beach pitcher Triston McKenzie and Park Vista pitcher Austin Smith, who were both selected on Day 1 of the draft Monday. (Read more about Day 1 here) [More]

Baseball: Park Vista, Royal Palm Beach, Benjamin among local teams in state rankings

A Palm Beach County school could not bring home a state baseball title this season.

But one local team did finish the year in Theprepzone.com state baseball poll’s All-Classification rankings, as Park Vista came in at No. 4 on the list. The Cobras’ season ended with a loss to top-ranked Miami Columbus in a Class 8A state semifinal on May 20. [More]

Baseball: Boca Raton jumps ahead of Park Vista in state rankings

For the first time this season, Park Vista is not the top-ranked Palm Beach County team in the Theprepzone.com state baseball poll.

The Bobcats jumped ahead in the All-Classifications poll and the Class 8A poll after defeating the Cobras 12-4 to win the District 10-8A title on Friday. Boca is No. 2 and Park Vista is No. 3 in both polls in the ninth edition of the rankings released Tuesday. [More]
