Jupiter Christian has officially advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
Hialeah-Champagnat, the Eagles’ first-round opponent, was notified by the Florida High School Athletic Association that it must vacate its playoff spot due to violating one of the FHSAA’s bylaws when it walked off the field and forfeited midway through last week’s regular-season game at Bradenton IMG Academy. Rain and lightning have already impacted one football game on the Week 3 schedule.
Inlet Grove’s game against Jupiter Christian, which was originally scheduled to be played Thursday at 7 p.m., has been postponed due to inclement weather. Instead, the contest will be played on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Inlet Grove, according to Palm Beach County School District athletics director Yetta Greene.
