Bill Powers is back in Jupiter.

After Powers resigned from his position as Jupiter Christian’s head football coach at the end of this past football season, he has accepted the same job at a school just two miles away.

Jupiter High named Powers as its new head football coach Thursday, ending a hiring process that took nearly three months. Powers replaces Doug Uccellini, who was relieved of his duties in February. Powers could not immediately be reached for comment. [More]

Jupiter athletic director Mike DeLeonardo said the school has already narrowed down its list to 15 candidates and expects to name a new head coach next week. [More]
