With the 2015 football season in the rear-view mirror and the Palm Beach Post All-Area teams published, we thought it would be a good idea to let Palm Beach County football fans decide who they think were the best players in the county this season.

Week 7 saw most of the top teams in the area cruise to victory, but a shakeup is in order at the end of the top 10 this week.

Big wins were the theme for much of the top 10. No. 1 Atlantic, No. 3 Oxbridge, No. 4 Boca Raton, No. 5 American Heritage and No. 6 Pahokee won by an average of 31 points. Week 5 seemed to be the week of the blowout. Only six area games were settled by a touchdown or less, with 14 having a score differential of 10 points or more.

The top five teams all took care of business Friday night, winning by an average of more than 23 points. No. 5 Boca Raton won by the biggest margin, defeating Santaluces 41 points while shutting out the Chiefs. Week 5 Football Look Ahead: A new top 10 and a look at the top games

Week 4’s slate of games wraps up with a pair of games Monday, but the Post’s Top 10 saw a small shake up after a pair of top-10 games Friday.

In a match up of two top-5 teams, top-ranked Atlantic rolled past No. 5 Glades Central. In the week’s other top-10 game, No. 9 Palm Beach Gardens defeated No. 10 Seminole Ridge by 29 points. However, the five other ranked teams that played non-ranked opponents in Week 4 all won, including No. 6 Boca Raton’s victory over then-undefeated Spanish River.

Like in Week 3, weather impacted some games, but fortunately most games this week made it to the field and played complete games.

In this week’s premier game, No. 5 Glades Central traveled to Delray Beach again and fell to a top-5 team for the second week in a row. In a game that was close until the last part of the fourth quarter, the top-ranked Eagles won 26-7. Elsewhere in the top 10, blowouts were the theme. Week 3 Football Look Ahead: Inside this week’s top 10, plus the top games coming up

Week 2 of the football season continued this weekend, and there was a mix of blowouts, last-minute victories and unexpected defeats.

No. 1 American Heritage traveled to New Jersey but struggled mightily against a talented Bergen Catholic team, falling 37-7.  While No. 2 Dwyer had a bye week, No. 3 Atlantic scored 44 against West Boca Raton and No. 4 Glades Central shut out Palm Beach Lakes. No. 5 Oxbridge rounded out the top 5 with a loss to Miami-Carol City.
