Park Vista is heading toward the No. 1 spot.

The Cobras moved up to No. 2 in the latest version of the MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings released Monday. Park Vista is on a three-game winning streak, as it enters a matchup with Miami-Columbus in a Class 8A state semifinal on Wednesday in Fort Myers. [More]

As the summer nears, two Palm Beach County high school baseball teams are still playing.

Park Vista and Royal Palm Beach will represent the county in this year’s state baseball tournament. The state tournament will be played at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers. [More]

Park Vista isn’t going anywhere.

Since the start of the season, the Cobras have been near the top of the MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings. Nothing has changed since then, as Park Vista comes in at No. 4 in the latest edition of the poll released Monday as the end of the season nears. [More]

Park Vista and Boca Raton are the only two nationally ranked baseball teams in Palm Beach County, but one will be eliminated from the playoffs this week.

The Cobras and the Bobcats will face off for the fourth time this season in the Class 8A regional semifinals at American Heritage on Tuesday at 7 p.m. In the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings released Monday, Park Vista moved up one spot to No. 4 and Boca Raton also jumped up one spot to No. 13. For the first time this season, Park Vista is not the top-ranked Palm Beach County team in the Theprepzone.com state baseball poll.

The Bobcats jumped ahead in the All-Classifications poll and the Class 8A poll after defeating the Cobras 12-4 to win the District 10-8A title on Friday. Boca is No. 2 and Park Vista is No. 3 in both polls in the ninth edition of the rankings released Tuesday. [More]

Boca Raton beat Park Vista to win the District 10-8A title last week, but it wasn’t enough for the Bobcats to leap over the Cobras in the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings released on Monday.

Park Vista fell three spots to No. 5 and Boca Raton jumped up one spot to No. 14. Even after the loss, the Cobras still lead the season series with the Bobcats 2-1. [More]
