2015 PBgametime Baseball: Inside the new Top 10, plus the top games of Week 8

Park Vista is living up to expectations.

The Cobras entered the season with high expectations and they have met them so far. Park Vista hasn’t dropped a game since falling to Coral-Springs-Taravella in the season opener. Since then, the Cobras have outscored opponents by a combined score of 103-22 to stay at No. 1.

Baseball: Boca Raton joins Park Vista in All-Classifications state poll

Boca Raton continues its rise.

In the fifth edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday, the Bobcats jumped up one spot to No. 3 in the Class 8A poll and made their debut in the state poll that considers teams from all classifications at No. 8. Boca (14-1) has been dominant this season, as its only loss came against nationally ranked Park Vista. [More]

The Cobras are getting close to the top spot, as they moved up two spots to No. 3 in this week’s MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings released Tuesday. [More]

In Palm Beach County high school baseball, Class 8A is king.

If you needed evidence of that, just take a look at the third edition of Theprepzone.com state baseball poll released Tuesday. Three county teams are ranked in the Class 8A poll — Park Vista (No. 2), Seminole Ridge (No. 4) and Boca Raton (No. 8). Palm Beach Gardens did not make the list, but the Gators did receive an honorable mention.

Along with being ranked in the Class 8A poll, Park Vista is also No. 2 in the state poll that considers teams from all classifications. [More]

Park Vista baseball team jumps up national rankings

Park Vista started the season among the nation’s best because of high expectations surrounding the program.

After 10 games, the Cobras (9-1) are still part of that class. Park Vista jumped up three spots to No. 5 in this week’s MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings released Tuesday.

Led by Tyler Constable, Jordan Poore and Austin Smith, the Cobras’ pitching staff has combined to post a 1.03 team ERA this season.

Park Vista baseball team falls in national rankings

Despite an eight-game winning streak, Park Vista fell in the national rankings.

After coming in at No. 4 last week, the Cobras dropped to No. 8 in this week’s MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Baseball Rankings. Park Vista’s only loss came against Coral Springs-Taravella in the season opener. [More]

Park Vista isn’t just one of the best baseball teams in Palm Beach County. The Cobras are one of the best teams in the country.

Park Vista (4-1) is No. 4 in the MaxPreps Top 100 National Baseball Rankings, which was released Monday. The Cobras’ only loss of the season came against Coral Springs-Taravella in the season opener. [More]
