After pleading guilty to one count of armed robbery and agreeing to a plea deal that does not include jail time, Nu’Keese Richardson said he will attempt to restart his collegiate career at Hampton.

Ex-Tennessee wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson, who starred at Pahokee, today pleaded guilty to one county of armed robbery in Knoxville, Tenn.

Richardson was charged Nov. 12 with then-teammates Mike Edwards and Janzen Jackson after three men reported to police that two men tried to rob them while they were sitting in their car at a Knoxville convenience store.
The victims later identified Richardson and Edwards as the two men who attempted robbery. One of the robbers brandished a pellet gun.

If Pahokee’s Nu’Keese Richardson ever resurrects his football career, it won’t be at the University of Tennessee.
Volunteers coach Lane Kiffin on Monday announced the dismissal of Richardson and fellow freshman Mike Edwards following their arrests on charges of attempted armed robbery. The third player involved in last Thursday’s incident, Janzen Jackson, is suspended but remains on the team.
In a statement, Kiffin said he did “extensive research” and considered other disciplinary options for Richardson and Edwards, but ultimately decided it was in his program’s best interest to kick them off the team.
