Weekend Rewind: 4 takeaways from Week 3

Week 3 was rivalry week.

Palm Beach Gardens faced crosstown rival Dwyer. Lake Worth hit the road to take on rival Santaluces. Seminole Ridge hosted rival Park Vista. And Palm Beach Lakes took on Suncoast in the “Soul Bowl.”

Football: Royal Palm Beach joins Dwyer in Class 7A state poll

The District 13-7A playoff race is going to be fun to watch.

If anybody needed any confirmation of that, it came in the latest Associated Press state football rankings released Tuesday. The three teams expected to be involved in the district’s playoff race — Dwyer, Royal Palm Beach and West Boca Raton — all received votes in the Class 7A state poll. [More]

Week 3 Look Ahead: Inside the new Top 10, plus the top games coming up

After two weeks, we’re starting to learn a little bit more about each team.

Glades Central looks like it’s the real deal. If the Raiders are able to get a win over American Heritage this week, it would open a lot of peoples’ eyes. Palm Beach Gardens continues to take care of business, but we’ll know just how good the Gators are after their game against Dwyer on Friday. West Boca Raton just keeps on winning. Most believe Royal Palm Beach and Dwyer are the favorites in District 13-7A, but the Bulls won’t make it easy for either of these teams. [More]

Football: Glades Central ranked in AP state poll

Glades Central is back in the rankings.

After upsetting Dwyer in the season opener on Friday, the Raiders cracked the Associated Press state football rankings released Tuesday. Glades Central comes in at No. 5 in the Class 4A poll. Meanwhile, Dwyer dropped from from No. 2 to No. 7 in the Class 7A rankings due to the loss. [More]

Dwyer drops in Florida HS Football rankings

One loss was all it took for Dwyer to plummet in the rankings.

After falling to unranked Glades Central on Friday, the Panthers dropped from No. 11 to No. 22 in Florida’s High School Football Top 25 poll released Tuesday. The Panthers take on Jupiter this week with a chance to bounce back from a tough start to the season. [More]

Saturday, August 6
